The kittens Snowball (white with blue eyes) and Amber (tortoiseshell with amber-colored eyes) were sleeping in the garden behind some bushes and plants when I walked by this afternoon. They heard my footsteps and woke up to look at me. I left them alone, not wanting to disturb their nap. Amber is difficult to see here, but she is indeed in the pic.

Hope the dog (Schnauzer Terrier), enjoys walking in his flower garden. Grandma came down with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, was hospitalized for a long time, and the doctors told her she would never walk again. She did eventually learn to walk again, though the process was difficult. After she got out of the hospital, she got Hope, and named him Hope because “he gives me hope.” Grandma and Hope would often work in the garden together. Grandma is older now, but she and Hope still go for walks in the garden together every day, along with either myself or a caregiver in order to ensure safety.

After lunch, I went to collect the dishes and saw Amber and Snowball sleeping in the garden by the fence underneath a palm tree and bamboo. Although it’s difficult to see in the photos due to the lighting, Snowball’s paws are resting on Amber. Mama Cat was sleeping several feet away, underneath the house, presumably in order to prevent them from nursing as she slept (as the kittens had done yesterday).
